Your Buying Strategy of the Day: Wednesday September 3rd, 2014

Target has 3 sets on sale for $19 down from $20 this week. Yeah, that’s definitely one of the reasons for intermittent posts/emails. Also, I haven’t told anyone in advance in the past, but when Brick Fest Live has an event, I am usually unable to post anything over the Thursday-Sunday weekend. We have events back to back weekends coming up this month. There, now I’ve told you.

Let’s take a look at the sets Target has on sale to see how bad the ratios are…or are they?
Remember, that’s $18.05 each with the RedCard discount.

70141 Vardy’s Ice Vulture Glider
Part out is $49.87 or 2.76x

70161 Tremor Track Infiltration
Part out is $41.61 or 2.31x

10669 Turtle Lair
Part out is $29.57 or 1.64x

Man, the only good thing about (some) of the Juniors sets is the cool plastic brick container the sets come in. And that’s just my inner collector talking. I would not want to have to ship those things so I guess there is nothing good about the Juniors sets.
