76020 Knowhere Escape Mission is on sale from Target (and probably other places) for $36.99 or $35.14 with RedCard discount.
It parts out for $87.13 or 2.48x which is pretty good.
Since Groot is anything but a minifigure, the part out value includes him completely parted out. If you’d like to sell him whole, here’s how you should do it:
If you are selling in-person, then it’s no big deal. Build Groot and sell him for the sum of the parts if not more. Make sure when you are pricing the parts in BrickStock, you remove them before uploading the remainder of the set.
If you are selling him on BrickLink, I would either create a Super Lot of all the parts needed to build Groot (that is a pretty tedious process)
or the second way would be to price the Groot head piece: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=17292pb01 at the price you want to sell the whole figure for and use a custom image of the figure built as your product image. Don’t forget to write a description telling buyers that this is for the whole figure.
