Your Buying Strategy of the Day: Thursday August 21st, 2014

What? Shopko has something on sale??!

Yeah, maybe they are gonna be the best store around for sales again. You know, or maybe not. Anyway, they have 70802 Bad Cop’s Pursuit for $23.99 each.

The part out value is $50.71 or 2.11x. It’s not great, but I was very surprised to see ANY change in their inventory online.

  1. Hey Clutch,

What are good, average and poor part out multiples?

For instance, it looks like average decent deals are around 2.2x. What would be good over 2.5 or 3.0? Would great be over 3.5?

What is your floor that marks and decent versus a poor part out multiple?

    Thank you sir.

    1. 2.0x would be the floor, anything below that would be poor. Honestly, as long as it parts out for more than you paid for it, it isn’t a loss, but understandably, there’s only so much of a budget for buying more sets to part out. 2.2-2.3x would be average. Anything 3.0x or above is a must buy.
