Your Buying Strategy of the Day: Sunday June 15th, 2014

The day is finally here. Some LEGO Movie sets are on sale, and at Target!

With the release of the LEGO Movie on DVD/Blu-Ray/other formats, Target is offering $10 off Bad Cop’s Pursuit, Ice Cream Machine, or Trash Chomper if you purchase “the Blu-ray version of the movie.” If any tier of Blu-ray package counts, then that includes the EIA edition. But the way I am reading it is that any version which contains a Blu-ray disc will apply. That is effectively 33% off on any one of those sets.

In addition to that discount on (or I assume after) Tuesday (while supplies of Blu-ray copies/sets last, They have 5% off all Movie, Creator, & City sets in-store. As for the Movie sets, they are more than 5% off online. Check them out here:
Most notably is 70812 Creative Ambush for $37.99 or $36.09 with RedCard discount.
Part out is $87.38 or 2.42x
This is notable because it is the first time that I have ever seen this set below MSRP. Unfortunately, I have already purchased all of the copies I need of this set, but I will be purchasing some Trash Chompers for sure.

    1. They might. I know TRU will honor the 10% off on Thursdays if you bring in a receipt from a different day. I plan on bringing my $400 receipt from Saturday to a TRU on Thursday and getting $40 knocked off my card.
