Your Buying Strategy of the Day: Monday April 7th, 2014

So Target does indeed have sales this week. Pretty basic. 20% off Juniors, Creator, City, & DUPLO. So what does that mean for you? Well, if you know me, you know I treat these posts like they are being spoken live. I’m about to find out if this is a good deal or not just as you are reading it to find out for yourself. My instincts are pretty good so let’s see… I’m actually gonna focus on the Juniors sets.

10667 Construction is $11.99 from $14.99.
Part out is $26.34 or 2.31x with RedCard discount.

10673 Race Car Rally is $23.99 from $29.99.
Part out is $50.67 or 2.22x with RedCard discount.

10668 & 10674 haven’t been inventoried yet.

Stay far, far away from 10675.

And the big finish, 10672 Batman: Defend the Batcave is $23.99 from $29.99.
Part out is $61.25 or 2.69x with RedCard discount.
And in case you were wondering (you were) the minifigs account for ~$28 of the part out value there. That’s most than the cost of the set.

Clutch’s gameplan:
I’d like to buy some of the Super Heroes set, perhaps 10 of them. I’d also really like to get the big brick boxed ones, but I think I can wait until they hit clearance eventually. I really just want those big bricks. Think of a wall of those! haha. So get the Juniors Super Heroes set. And finally, where are the Spider-Man and the other City Juniors sets? I don’t think they are store-exclusive to another store, but they aren’t here and I would have liked to get the Spider-Man and Venom minifigs as well as Batman, Robin, and The Joker.
