Your Buying Strategy of the Day: Sunday March 9th, 2014

Sorry for the delay today, but I’ve got some good ones!

Since it is Sunday, the stores are having new sales for the week. I have picked out two stores that have some sets on sale. I didn’t even look at the other stores for fear that I might find even more sets to buy.

Toys R Us currently has Ninjago, City, DUPLO, & Friends BOGO 50% off but that’s not necessarily a good thing. What is good however is that they’ve dropped two of their store-exclusive sets again.

79004 Barrel Escape is $25 from MSRP of $40, limit 2.

Part out is $74.36 or 2.97x.

70011 Eagle’s Castle is also $25 from MSRP of $40, limit 2.

Part out is $55.31 or 2.21x.

And they are also running a sale where you save $10 on your $50 purchase of which these sets do count. The only issue is you need to spend $50 to get free shipping so I bought 2 Barrel Escapes, 2 polybags, & 1 minifig.

And our old favorite, or maybe our new favorite, ShopKo, has all of their sets 10% off plus today and tomorrow, the promo code “FNF630” will get you an additional 20% off your purchase. That works out to be 28% off your MSRP-priced (or less) purchase. I picked up a few more Movie sets.
