Your Buying Strategy of the Day: Friday February 21st, 2014

I forgot to mention Target yesterday and their potential for a clearance markdown. That’s alright though because I had other deals to talk about. Today I don’t, but that’s also alright and here’s why.

Yesterday I found myself in Target, or 3 of them, even though I should probably have been parting out sets. Well, I finally, finally, FINALLY found the clearance sets down to 50% off. And wouldn’t ya know it, I bought them all.

Here’s what I found for 50% off. There are more sets, but your selection is probably going to be similarly scarce like mine was.

The Gatehouse Raid was $13 from $30
Warrior Bike was $10 from $20
AT-TE was $45 from $90
The Council of Elrond was $13 from $30

That’s all that I saw and that’s all that I bought. Now that I write it out, it looks like some of them were more than 50% off which is even better! So heading into the weekend, stop at your local Target and pick up some clearance LEGO. At that price, it all parts out well. And if I am seeing the sets at 50% off, they must be actually paying you to take them away in the rural areas.

Finally, use the TRU BOGO 50% off to score some 70127 Wolf Legend Beasts. They are $10 each and qualify for the sale. The part out is about $29 which is more than triple your investment. Half of the elements in the set are exclusive or rare, and most of the elements are brand new. As far as I know, the Wolf has the highest part out value of the Legend Beast line. Now if there were only a way for me to get Mixels on sale…
