I’m a pretty big fan of retailers matching each others’ prices when it comes to putting LEGO on sale or even clearance. Amazon appears to me matching some of Target’s prices which is a win all around.
Some of them are already sold out at the discounted price and available at a higher price. This one might in fact be sold out by the time you read this as well.
76004 Spider-Cycle Chase is $13.99 down from $19.99.
Part out is $40.43 or 2.89x. Limit 3 for now on Amazon.
That set is matched at Target with a limit of 8 like usual. Remember, tax applies on Target but not on Amazon. If your state sales tax is 5% of less, then it is a wash with the RedCard discount.
There are plenty of other markdowns on Target.com which span just about every theme. But don’t go crazy, remember, tomorrow is a potential markdown day for in-store clearance and I’ve heard that the sets are hitting 50% off from the 30% off we saw last Thursday. I would buy from the website only if you don’t plan on going out this week what with the weather and all. Or, come back to the site after you’ve shopped around in order to bolster your numbers. Here’s a link to the sets currently marked down on Target.com. Remember, the in-store prices (on clearance items) will be as good if not better than what you see on the website.
