Your Buying Strategy of the Day: Tuesday February 11th, 2014

If you are looking to bolster your numbers and aren’t having any luck finding this set on clearance at Target, Amazon has it for about the same price with limit 5, free shipping, and no tax in most states.

76005 Daily Bugle Showdown for $36.99 from $49.99

The part out is $95.21 or 2.57x.

Amazon also has the straight and flexible track expansion set on sale. I noticed Kmart also had it marked down but not in stock.

7499 Flexible and Straight Tracks $15.98 from $19.99.

Parts out for $23.56 or 1.47x. It’s not that great, but if you bought enough, you would make any sales over the smaller sellers. Limit is 5, but I imagine other retailers are matching this price.

Finally, I’ve seen reports of the March 2014 sets (Chima & Star Wars) starting to appear at Walmarts and LEGO Brand Retail Stores across the country. No sense in buying anything at full price, but you should familiarize yourself with the new sets as they come out. They will probably have part out values from the get go because they have been available in Europe for some time now. So I guess some of them could be decent buys at full price afterall.
