Your Buying Strategy of the Day: Sunday January 19th, 2014

Today’s deal isn’t anything spectacular, but then again, we are in clearance season.

79012 Mirkwood Elf Army has hit its all time low price. Now, it’s a new set so it WILL get cheaper, it’s just a matter of time. But for now, 17% off is the best we’ve seen and it’s really not a bad deal. The set is real good even at full price, but I wouldn’t recommend that.
It’s $25 down from $29.99 and parts out for $66.62 or 2.66x. There is a limit of 5 copies per order, and you’ll need at least 2 copies to get free shipping.

Another thing you can consider is if you are in the market for LEGO Movie sets, Toys R Us is still running (through tomorrow) their 15% off one item sale. Now, if you buy any of the Movie sets (excluding the CMF line), they are MSRP still and 15$ off one of them gets you below what you might pay at Target or The LEGO Store. If you buy one over $50 (Rescue Reinforcements or Lord Business’ Evil Lair) then you can get the maximum discount (15% off of your one and only item plus free shipping). I placed 3 orders (and yes, you can use this code as many times as you’d like) for 1 Cuckoo Palace, 1 Getaway Glider, & 4 Lake-town Guards each time and to my surprise, the coupon applies itself to the most expensive item! Just enter the promo code “15FORYOU” when you check out. For $158.82, I got 12 LTG’s, 3 Cuckoo Palaces, & 3 Getaway Gliders. Not a stellar discount, but I really only needed to get those LTG’s.
